Version 0.2.7 NES devlog
In my roguelike Not Enough Space, I feel there are not enough choices for the player to make, at the time of version 0.2.1, the player could only choose items that would transform other items, thus adjusting their build and making useless items useful.
While thinking about what I could add, I remembered the game Blazing Beaks and its "bad item" system, so after thinking about how it would work in my game, I reversed the scheme and made strong items for the player's enemies. Once every 3 rounds, the player must choose one of three items offered
These items affect several aspects of the game
Some of them force the player to move more carefully.
Some items make you think it's worth taking based on your current build.
So taking an item to heal enemies from blid is stupid if you do most of your damage from blid.
Or taking an item that doesn't allow you to kill a mob with one shot is stupid when you have a skill that does 250% damage.
And a few more types, which I'll skip so as not to make this post any bigger.
Unfortunately I couldn't finish the whole update, it's only half of it, that's why it's 0.2.7 and not 0.3.0.
Good luck everyone!
